Artist Talk with Leslie Nichols + Storytelling with Michelle Howell + Brunch

This community storytelling event is being produced in conjunction with "In Her Words", a solo exhibition by Leslie Nichols at the Downing Museum, Jul 17 - Sep 1, 2018. The portraits on display in this exhibition depict Bowling Green women who are improving the lives of women and children in South Central Kentucky. Leslie will introduce the exhibition which features a portrait of Michelle Howell.

Michelle’s portrait includes her own words and the poem "Anyway" made famous by Mother Teresa. These words reflect Michelle's journey of holding space for the voices of women in South Central Kentucky. Michelle will share stories of forgiveness, kindness, success, honesty, creativity, happiness, doing good and giving your best even when life is hard and the work gets complicated.

A brunch will be generously provided by local producers. RSVP
